This Is Not a Government Office or Records Custodian. Indio Residents Directory is a private reference service. It cannot pull records, certify copies, confirm occupancy, or change a roll or database. Send those requests to the custodian named below. For emergencies, dial 911. If you believe you are being stalked or harassed, contact local police.
Where to Request an Indio Record
Choose the custodian by record type. The directory pages help narrow a question, but the official office controls the record, copy, fee, and correction process:
- Address and parcel work: use the By Street route for APNs, GIS context, permits, and the distinction between a situs and a mailing address.
- Historical volumes: use City Directories for regional telephone books, library leads, census pairing, and Sanborn-map limits.
- One-person verification: use the Resident Lookup route for court, vital, license, business, and other official sources.
- Custodian map: see Indio resident records offices for the agencies behind each record set.
- Records that are not online: make a request under the California Public Records Act to the office that holds the material.
For municipal records, start with the Indio City Clerk public-records page. It points to already-published Laserfiche agendas, minutes, resolutions, ordinances, and attachments, and to the Records Requests Portal for a tailored request. Search the published material first. A request should name the department, record type, subject, and a narrow date range. The City makes an initial determination within 10 calendar days; unusual circumstances can permit a 14-day extension. Submission is free, while direct duplication or permitted extraction and programming costs may be quoted in advance.
Indio City Hall and City Clerk. City Hall is at 100 Civic Center Mall, Indio, CA 92201. General phone: 760-391-4000. City Clerk assistance: 760-391-4006. Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
For land and recorded instruments, contact the Riverside County Assessor-County Clerk-Recorder. The Riverside County Assessor property search accepts an address or APN online, but owner names are not displayed there under county policy. An assessor office can provide public ownership information when given an address or parcel number. For court records, use the Riverside Superior Court public portal or the Larson Justice Center, 46-200 Oasis Street, Indio. Larson is open Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.; its public viewing computers and drop box are available, and the clerk phone is 760-393-2617 with phone hours ending at 2:00 p.m.
