Information You Submit
A name, phone number, or address entered into a lookup is sent to the third-party provider that supplies the results. Indio Residents Directory does not retain a copy of those searches on its own servers. If you contact us, we receive the contents of your message and use them to answer or handle the request.
Routine Technical Logs
Our host records ordinary server-log details such as IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps. We review those details in aggregate to maintain the service and understand which resources are used. Cookies or similar tools may support basic analytics and, where applicable, advertising measurement.
Why We Use It
Technical data helps operate the service, diagnose faults, measure traffic, and improve the pages. We do not sell visitor lists or create individual user profiles from this information.
When Links Leave This Site
Pages may link to Riverside County and California records portals, Indio and Riverside County library resources, archives, and sponsored search tools. Once you leave, the destination's privacy policy governs what you submit. A third-party company supplies the sponsored results and controls its own collection practices.
Service Providers and Disclosures
Hosting and support providers may process the server logs needed to run the pages. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the automatic information described above. We disclose information when valid legal process requires it, and otherwise do not disclose it.
Security and Retention
The service uses an encrypted connection. Logs are retained only for as long as the purposes above require. Because there are no user accounts, this site does not hold a password or account profile that could be exposed.
Children and Minors
Indio Residents Directory is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a minor may have sent information, contact us and we will delete what we can locate.
California Privacy Choices
Where applicable, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, can provide rights to know or access, delete, correct, opt out of sale or sharing, and limit use of sensitive personal information, subject to exceptions. The California Attorney General's CCPA resource explains those rights. Because this service keeps very little, a request usually means checking the contact mailbox and relevant logs, then removing what is found. Use the Contact page to ask.
California's Delete Act, SB 362, Civil Code ยง1798.99.80 et seq., created the free Delete Request and Opt-out Platform. It opened January 1, 2026 for requests sent to registered data brokers. A company-specific request may still be needed for a missed or exempt record, and confirmations should be retained. Public records held by the City of Indio, Riverside County, or California offices remain under the custodian's control. The Safe at Home program can provide an eligible participant with a substitute mailing address and confidential-voter support, but it does not retroactively erase every historic public record.
Updates to This Policy
