1. What This Website Is
Indio Residents Directory is privately operated reference material. It describes and links to public rolls, record indexes, and historical collections concerning Indio, Riverside County, and California. The service does not host government records and is not affiliated with the City of Indio, Riverside County Assessor-County Clerk-Recorder, Riverside Superior Court, California agencies, libraries, or any other custodian.
2. Rules for Using This Site
Use the service only in a lawful, respectful way. Neither the pages nor anything reached through them may be used to:
- Stalk, harass, intimidate, threaten, or injure another person
- Locate a person protected by a restraining or protective order
- Commit identity theft, fraud, or another unlawful act
- Make an FCRA-regulated decision involving credit, employment, tenant screening, or insurance
- Scrape, reproduce, or republish the pages at scale
- Disrupt the service or defeat its security controls
3. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency
Indio Residents Directory is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. § 1681 et seq. Neither these pages nor results returned by a linked search tool are consumer reports. They may not be used to evaluate eligibility for credit, employment, housing, insurance, or another purpose regulated by the FCRA.
4. Links to Outside Sites
Riverside County portals, California agencies, libraries, archives, and sponsored search tools each operate under their own terms and privacy practices. We do not control or guarantee their content, availability, prices, results, or handling of submitted data.
5. No Warranties
The service is supplied "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. No promise is made that a fact, link, fee, coverage date, or office detail is complete, accurate, current, or available when you need it. A linked portal may fail or return an incorrect result.
6. Limits on Our Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operators are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or similar damages arising from use of these pages or a linked resource. That includes harm or loss resulting from a decision based on a record or search result reached through the service.
7. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the operators from a claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys' fees, that results from your misuse of the service or breach of these terms.
8. Intellectual Property
The original writing, design, logo, and layout belong to this service and are protected by copyright. Linking to a page and quoting a short, attributed excerpt is allowed. Republishing a full page or systematically copying the content is not.
9. Changes to These Terms
An updated version may be posted here from time to time. If you continue using the service after the revised terms appear, you accept the change.
10. Cutting Off Access
Access may be blocked or limited when a user violates these terms, abuses the service, or threatens its operation. The operators may take that action at their discretion and without advance notice.
11. Governing Law
California law governs these terms, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. The California Public Records Act, Government Code §§7920.000 et seq., generally gives a requester an initial agency determination within 10 calendar days and permits a possible 14-day extension for unusual circumstances. It governs records held by agencies, not this private reference, and court-file access follows court rules and statutes.
12. Severability
If a court finds one provision unenforceable, that provision is limited or removed only as needed, and the remaining terms continue in effect.
13. Questions
Questions about these terms may be sent through the Contact page.
